Dead Wood Furniture Company Now Open For Business

Each year between the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays, our wood sales tend to lag or stop completely. This year was no exception, but we did decide to do something unique with all that time off from the daily grind. We expanded our operations so we can now provide a wide array of rustic furniture and home decor offerings.

Check out This Awesome Rustic Furniture Made by Local Artists Like Us!We currently we have two red oak tables on consignment with Cozy Cabin Rustics in Tilton, NH (in front of MB Tractor) at Exit 20 on Route 93. Though the store has many high quality items made by a variety of different craftsmen and artists, our creations are highly unique and functional. While we owe thanks and praise to Cozy Cabin Rustics for inspiring us in many ways, we also took extra steps to ensure we were not copying anyone else's style in the pieces we produce. Everything is 100% original.

One of the oak tables is made with legs stripped of bark and chewed on the floor ends by beavers. This table has two platforms, both of which are leveled off. It is finished with multiple coats of Booiled Linseed Oil and Helmsman Indoor/Outdoor Polyeurethane treatment. Here are some photos:

Our other Table at Cozy Cabin Rustics is a bit larger with two distinct tiny stars in the middle. These are naturally occuring stars, and this table is also finished with boiled linseed oil and Helmsman. It features three unique maple legs, one of which has a vine wrapped tightly around it.

The best part about this new business is that it allows us to use more of the wood we don't process for firewood. Our goal has always been to create as many byproducts as possible from the leftovers. Now we can do just that by using old slabs, barn wood, circular slices, branches, vines and bark to create high-quality products that will enhance your home decor and help inspire conversation. We also specialize in repurposing antiques and tranforming cheap, well-worn pieces into absolute masterpieces.

Both of the tables shown above can be reproduced even after the originals are gone, so if they are no longer at the Tilton store we can make something similar for you in a few days. We will also be adding many new items over the days, weeks and months to come. We will provide more photos right here as new pieces become available. We are working on everything from decorative and functional birdhouses to lamps to folding tables, bars, benches and signs.
