The Dead Wood Society is gearing up for another busy firewood season. Unfortunately, we have a serious shortage of seasoned wood. Seasoned wood orders may take up to a week or more to get ready for delivery until our supply increases. If you have large dead trees on your property you want gone and are local to the Lakes Region, please let us know.
We have been receiving requests lately for grapple loads of wood. We cannot currently accommodate these requests, as we only sell cord wood. The most we can deliver at any one time is 2 cords.
We can cut and split orders to your own personal specifications, or we have standard 16-inch (or less) lengths we can deliver. We are not a massive operation, and our current staff includes just two workers with all cords split by hand with a maul. For this reason we cannot handle huge orders of five cords or more with ease. We also are not going to be able to deliver to you if you live more than 20 miles from Belmont, NH.
Our rates for this season are as follows with all delivery charges set at $20 per cord or order:
Geen Hard Wood: $240 per cord, $120 per half-cord
Seasoned Hard Wood: $280 per cord, $140 per half-cord
Green Pine: $140 per cord, $70 per half-cord
Seasoned Pine: $180 per cord, $90 per half-cord
